MARINA DI CAMEROTA is part of the Cilento and Val di Diano National Park, under the tutelage of Unesco and a patrimony of World Heritage. In 2001 it won 5 blue flags. It is an area of great naturalistic interest set between sea and sun, history and legend, tradition and innovation. If you are a lover of nature and culture it is a must. Set among promontories with Saracen towers, it presents an enchanting spectacle: between the crystalline blue of the sea and the greens of the lush vegetation (Mediterranean bush)

Sea meeting music show for young people
Madonna del Carmine celebrated 16^th July with a procession and fireworks
St. Domenico (patron saint of Marina di Camerota) an important festivity lasting 3 days with markets, food fair classical and modern music concerts, procession and firework display,
St Lazzaro a pageant of fishing boats which meet at the Infreschi harbour on 15^th August,
Myth night a stunning mythical spectacle which evokes the landing of Ulysees in the land of the Cyclops, filmed and broadcast every year by the Rai channels.

WHAT TO VISIT

The leone di Caprera galley on the Lentiscelle beach, on which 3 sailors including Pietro Troccoli of Marina di Camerota succeeded in crossing the Atlantic.
The twelve watch towers on the promontories along the coast of Camerota.
The castle of the Marquis which can be seen from the sea front.

Don’t be satisfied with the usual tourism of “taste and run”. Our wonderful area deserves to be discovered and enjoyed in its entirety, so why not treat yourself to some unforgettable memories? Don’t stop at the coast. We advise you to go and discover the older places which are less well known; a wealth of memories, partly lost in the historical centre of Marina di Camerota.
